कम्प्यूटर की सबसे बड़ी कमजोरी यह है, कि यह खुद से नहीं चालू होता है, इसे हमें खुद ही बटन दबाकर चालू करना पड़ता है। इसके अलावा कम्प्यूटर की कुछ महत्वपूर्ण सीमाएँ निम्नलिखित है- 

No Feelings: Computers have no Emotions or Sentiments.

भावना रहितः- कम्प्यूटर में किसी भी प्रकार के इमोशन्स और सेन्टीमेंट्स नहीं होते है।

No IQ (Intelligence Quotient): Computer cannot think on their own. They do whatever instructions are given to them.

बुद्धिमत्ता का अभावः- कम्प्यूटर में खुद का दिमाग नहीं होता है, यह खुद से कुछ भी सोच नहीं सकता है, यह सिर्फ वही करता है जो इसे निर्देश दिए गए होते है।

No Thinking Capability: Computers cannot think of themselves, which restricts them to do any task on their own. They are machines in which instructions are stored or programmed to perform specific tasks. Computer do not work by thinking themselves, they are given instructions. Otherwise, they are just boxes. Human have developed some algorithms to make computers work like humans, such as voice input/output support in Siri or Google speech search. But this concept still relies on stored instructions and is commonly called Artificial Intelligence.

सोचने की क्षमता का अभावः- कम्प्यूटर खुद से कुछ भी सोच नहीं सकता है, जिसके कारण यह खुद से कोई भी टास्क पूरा नहीं कर सकता है। इसमें किसी भी टॉस्क को पूरा करने के लिए पहले से ही प्रोग्रामिंग की गई होती है। कम्प्यूटर न तो खुद से सोच सकता है, और न ही कुछ कर सकता है। बिना निर्देशों के कम्प्यूटर एक डिब्बे के समान है। मनुष्य ने कम्प्यूटर से कार्य कराने के लिए कुछ एल्गोरिथम का निर्माण किया है, जिसमें वॉयस, इनपुट, आउटपुट आदि सामिल है, जो Siri, Google speech search, Alexa आदि जैसे वर्चुअल असिस्टेंट सपोर्ट करते है। इन्हे AI कहा जाता है, जो अपने अन्दर निर्देशो को स्टोर करके रखती है।

User Dependent: Computers have become so smart, yet they are dependent on the user to take input. If no data is given to the computer, it cannot process the task or provide result.

उपयोगकर्ता पर निर्भरः- आज के समय के कम्प्यूटर काफी स्मार्ट हो चुके है लेकिन कार्य करने के लिए यह यूजर पर निर्भर रहते है। यदि कम्प्यूटर को कोई टॉस्क न दिया जाए तो यह कुछ भी नही कर सकते है।
