 Data (डेटा)

Raw figures are known as data. Data is a collection of facts, such as numbers, words, measurements, observations or just descriptions of things.

For Example: 12345, ABCD, 11213ABCD etc.

डेटा - कच्चे आंकड़ो को डेटा कहा जाता है। डेटा तथ्य, नम्बर्स, शब्द, मापन इकाई, अवलोकन, और किसी वस्तु के बारे जानकारी आदि का संग्रह होता है। जैसे- 12345, ABCD, 11213ABCD आदि।

Data Divided into two forms:

डेटा दो भाग में बाटाँ गया है-

Qualitative Data (Qualitative Data is Descriptive Information. It Describe something.)

गुणात्मक डेटा- (यह एक वर्णात्मक जानकारी होती है। यह किसी के बारे में वर्णन करती है।)

Quantitative Data (Quantitative Data is Numerical Information (Numbers)

मात्रात्मक डेटा- (यह डेटा नम्बर्स के रूप में होता है।)

Quantitative Data can be Discrete or Continuous:

मात्रात्मक  डेटा Discrete और Continuous हो सकता है-

Discrete Data: Discrete Data can only take certain values (like whole numbers)

सीमित डेटा- इस प्रकार का डेटा सीमित वैल्यू में होता है। जैसे सम्पूर्ण नम्बर।

Continuous Data: Continuous data can take any value (within a range)

लगातार डेटा- यह डेटा किसी रेंज के रूप में हो सकता है।

In simple word Discrete data is Counted, Continuous Data is Measured.

साधारण शब्दों में कहें तो Discrete data गिना (Count) किया जाता है, और Continuous data मापा (Measured) जाता है।

Information (सूचना)

Processed data is known as information. For Example Age of a person, Student’s roll number, Salary of an employee, address of an Organization, etc. 

प्रोसीज्ड डेटा को सूचना के रूप में जाना जाता है। जैसे- किसी व्यक्ति की आयु, छात्रों का रोल नम्बर, कर्मचारी की सैलेरी, किसी संस्था का पता आदि। 

Difference between Data and Information

डेटा और सूचना में अन्तर

डेटा आंकड़ो का ग्रुप होता है, जिसमें तथ्य, नम्बर, शब्द आदि शामिल होते है, यह अनसुलझी जानकारी होती है जिसका कोई क्लियर अर्थ नहीं होता है।

सूचना प्रोसेस किये गये डेटा से प्राप्त होती है, जिसका एक क्लीयर अर्थ होता है।
